Donation Case for a Concerned Citizen
Donate for What?
We need your support for the Coalition for a Baruch Plan for AI. Your donation will support and power-charge our Deal of the Century initiative.
The Initiative is aimed at convincing and empowering key potential influencers of Trump's AI policy to co-lead with Xi and a bold global AI treaty. Only such a bold treaty, we believe, can (a) prevent loss of control of AI and (b) prevent AI's immense concentration of power and wealth — and realize AI's unimaginable benefits for humanity. It's hard but doable, and we have a smart plan.

Why AI Needs a Global Treaty— And Why Your Support Matters
What is Happening with AI is for Real!
You've seen the headlines.
AI is advancing faster than anyone predicted.
And the people building these systems openly admit they don't fully understand what they're creating.
This isn't science fiction. It's happening now.
The most powerful AI companies estimate there's a 10-25% chance their technology could pose catastrophic risks to humanity within the next decade.
Your gut feelings are just right, and you are with the majority:
76% of US voters believe AI will pose a threat to the "existence of humanity".
As of November 2025, 45% of US voters think AI should be "much more regulated", while 29% believe it should be "somewhat more regulated".
As of August 2025, 78% of US Republican voters believe artificial intelligence could eventually pose a threat to the existence of humanity.
As of June 2025, 43% of US citizens are very or somewhat concerned that AI could "cause the end of the human race".
Yet there's no binding international agreement to ensure these systems remain safe and under human control.
According to a 2024 survey, 77% of US voters support a strong international treaty for AI - matching the rise of a similar public sentiment in the first half of 1946.
We've been here before. In 1946, a few key advisors led a pragmatic US President to propose the Baruch Plan—an ambitious treaty to prevent nuclear weapons from spreading and to ensure atomic energy would benefit all of humanity. That plan failed, and we've lived under the shadow of nuclear weapons ever since.
World leaders are scrambling to respond or sticking their heads in the sand.
We have a second chance with AI.
What We're Doing
The Coalition for a Baruch Plan for AI brings together experts, former officials, and concerned citizens to advocate for a global AI treaty—one that ensures:
Human oversight of the most powerful AI systems
International cooperation so no single country or company controls this technology
Democratic accountability in decisions that affect everyone
We're working directly with policymakers, tech leaders, and thought leaders to make this vision a reality, and focusing in particular on key influencers of Trump's AI policy.
Why We Need You
We're a small team doing big work. While well-funded lobbying groups push for minimal regulation, we're making the case that humanity's future shouldn't be left to chance.
Your donation helps us:
Meet with key decision-makers in Washington, Silicon Valley, Mar-a-Lago, the Vatican and beyond
Keep producing strategic memos and operational research to support intense persuasive on-the-ground action
Every dollar goes directly to this mission. We operate with extreme efficiency—our monthly costs are a fraction of typical DC policy organizations.
This Is Personal
You don't need to be an AI expert to care about this. You just need to care about:
The world your children and grandchildren will inherit
Whether democratic societies can govern transformative technologies
Ensuring that AI serves humanity—not the other way around
The window for action is narrow. Historical decisions will be made in the next few months and years, that will shape AI governance for decades.
Funding Needs: $50K-$400K
Every dollar goes to the mission—no fancy offices, no high staff costs. We have operated so far at ~$7.5K/month, a fraction of typical DC policy organizations.
$50,000 — Extend and Amplify
Extend our runway into mid-2026. Add one outreach support staff. Engage part-time consultants to expand and sharpen the Memo. Launch highly targeted select op-eds and podcasts in Washington. Fund critical travel.$150,000 — Building Momentum
Sustain twelve months of growth. Hire two part-time consultants. Organize closed-door dinners in Washington, DC and Mar-a-Lago. Support targeted media framing the treaty as “peace through strength.” Expand NGO and think tank partners. Prepare a more extensive 2nd and 3rd Persuasion Tours.$400,000 — Breakthrough Scale
Transform capacity. Build unstoppable momentum for Trump to champion the Deal of the Century. Move from one to three full-time staff. Launch a highly targeted, subdued, multi-channel campaign across podcasts, op-eds, and outreach. Deepen the scientific depth and operational value-add of new versions of the Strategic Memo.
