The stakes. Only a bold, timely and proper US–China-led AI treaty, with citizen co-ownership of AI labs, can prevent an AI takeover or a runaway concentration of power. Many top experts now place that risk within years.
The timing. Every week before Doral is worth a month after it.
The leverage. About $140,000 and 1,700+ pro-bono hours bought a 356-page Strategic Memo and 30+ hours with senior staff and advisors of four power brokers: Amodei, Pope Leo XIV, Rubio and Kratsios.
The gap. AI-safety philanthropy has funded science and awareness. Far less reaches the arena that now decides: the President and the dozen people he listens to. That arena is our lane.
