In A Gist

Starting late March 2026, the Coalition for a Baruch Plan for AI, will start Consultations in Rome, via Zoom and in DC — as part of its the Deal of the Century Initiative — leading up to the 1st The Deal of the Century Convening, a two-day, close-doors, multi-track event to be held on June 4-5th, 2026 at Palazzo Falletti, in Rome, Italy.

The aim of the events is to contribute to forge an informal humanist AI alliance among a critical mass of key potential influencers of Trump's AI policy who — leveraging favorable political conditions, a philosophical and situational awareness alignment, and the Vatican's unique moral authority and influence — will jointly propose to President Donal Trump a convincing proposal to co-lead with President Xi Ximping a bold, timely, humanist and proper global AI treaty.

​The meetings, in person and via Zoom, will bring together advisors, staffers and envoys of such influencers, and potential introducers to them, and soon, possibly, some of those influencers themselves.

  Investigates and fosters practical ways to improve and safeguard humanity’s future in the short and long term.

• Center for Existential Safety (US)
  Works to galvanize collective action to ensure humanity survives this decade, as the condition for an unimaginably promising future.

• Existential Risk Observatory (Netherlands)
  Aims to reduce existential risk via global governance proposals and awareness campaigns.

• PauseAI Global (NL)
  A grassroots AI safety network with chapters worldwide, converting public concern into organized political pressure to complement elite persuasion.

• Trustless Computing Association (CH)
  Aims to advance global federal institutions to regulate critical digital technologies

• AITreaty-org (UK)
  Co-founded by Coalition members; has gathered signatures from leading AI researchers calling for binding international governance (including major figures such as Bengio and Russell).

• European Center for Peace and Development / UN University for Peace (RS)
  Operates under UN University for Peace auspices, bringing academic legitimacy plus expertise and connections in international conflict resolution and governance frameworks.

• World Federalist Movement – Institute for Global Policy (WFM-IGP)
  Convener of the 2,500-NGO Coalition for the International Criminal Court, with strong institutional memory on building civil-society coalitions for binding global governance.

• Pause AI USA (USA)
  A grassroots organizing effort advocating an international treaty to pause advanced AI training until we know how to proceed safely.
