Email to OpenAI of Oct 9th
To OpenAI,
Dear Mr. Sam Altman,
For internal routing: Office of the CEO, OpenAI's Board, OpenAI's Policy Team
On behalf of the Coalition for a Baruch Plan for AI, I have just traveled from Rome to SF to hand deliver to you a newly-published Open Letter for Sam Altman, and a related 130-page Strategic Memo for The Deal of the Century, which I trust would be of your interest.
Through these texts and the underlying Deal of the Century initiative, we aim to persuade you to join a critical mass of key potential influencers of Trump’s AI policy to decisively foster a bold, timely, and well-thought-out global AI treaty, while continuing your race to build a positive AI or ASI.
About Us: The Coalition, convened in July 2024 by the Trustless Computing Association, comprises 10 NGO members, over 40 exceptional multidisciplinary advisors, team, board and secretariat members (UN, NSA, UBS, WEF, Yale and Princeton), and is backed by Jaan Tallinn's Survival and Flourishing Fund.
Our Ask: A 30-minute confidential high-level strategy briefing to discuss the Strategic Memo (17 pp.) or its Executive Overview (3 pp.) and explore potential collaboration pathways. I am in SF until Oct 21st (then in DC until Oct 24th)
Warm Regards,
Rufo
